Leigh Powis

Leigh Powis is a UK born, Vancouver based, commercial and narrative director.

His infectious energy, dry humor, and tattoo-freckled body leave a lasting impression for those who have been fortunate enough to collaborate with him. Recently, Leigh has been sought out to direct campaigns for brands such as Oakley, The North face, Canadian Lottery, and Reebok. 

Leigh cut his teeth in the mountains of British Columbia shooting feature-length adventure and action sports films and as a professional skier. He quickly grew a cult following for his experiential short films resulting in opportunities and recognition throughout the US and European markets. In addition to his directorial eye, Leigh has a strong background in post production which has led to VFX-driven work in many of his commercials. 
Leigh’s signature approach pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in order to deliver his one-of-a-kind look and feel. Leigh has been honored with a Gold Telly Award for his Winter Olympic commercial for The North Face, and a Gold Shorty Award for NfL commercial for Oakley.
